  Duality or non duality ?

  The mystics say: everything is just one thing, ie " Non Duality" where as in the land of opposites(Duality) everything has it's opposites hot/cold, feast/famine, beautiful/ugly, so on and so on....

  I think perhaps everything is just a dance between opposites ying/jang and finding the Tao to live better or in harmony with and not against ,, so many ways to approach life anyway I think those that probed the mind deeply in ancient times where on to something and non duality may have been it.

  I thank Jehovah for internet porn it helped me be brave enough to read apostate web site material and the rest is history like the big bully in the sky Jehovah.

  I'm thinking once a Jehovah Witness starts watching internet porn on a regular basis the closer he is to getting deprogramed, the more he will start missing boring meetings, the more freedom of movement it's a down ward spiral that means totally release from the cult.

  I can see why this cult will keep harping on porn it's worse then getting a higher education because pretty soon the porn addict will be saying "Fuck you to the Watchtower cult corporation.

  I think Feynman meant the unintuitive nature of Quantum Physics and the math works, so shut up and calculate. That is my understanding of the phrase.

  When we scale down to sub atomic particles we find our intuitions for our middle macro scale don't apply.

  O and I don't consider Deepak a mystic only some one who may repeat something that the mystics have said.

  just got done watching this program and what impress me the most was the bravery of those x-witnesses to sit there on national tv and tell everyone how the wt.

  cult affected them.

  The way I look at it, it is a big choice because of the out come, and for that reason I will not point to any choice as Ideal and the route to go, because everybody's circumstances are complicated and different, (I got my own troubles) and prefer side step any type of responsibility for the outcome on something that is so a personal choice that they have to live with.

  I would just like to give any one kudos for getting the hell out of this bull shit religion, and my sincerest sympathy to those still play the part for family and friends and I wish you all a eventual good out come for you efforts.

  i know that a lot of the people on here have turned their backs on the idea of a deity deciding that god does not exist.

  but what about the unseen spirit world generally such as poltergeists, jinns, voodoo, etc.

  if you have become agnostic, atheist, or just don't care since leaving, do you think that there are spirits out there or have you decided that is also hokum?

  What if in the evolutionary development of the mind/brain of humans they developed what we would call psychic powers?

  I would tend to think they would show up more in our young who haven't been that conditioned by society, and gradually taper off as they age.

  I think that is why shamanism has been around for 10s of thousands of years though out our species. All due to the powers of the mind to heal or to cause harm.
